Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.

The Corona virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth. In India, the Government takes rapid actions to limit the cases from screening the international passengers, Isolation ward, social distancing, epass system for essentials and emergency. Though total Covid-19 cases in India have crossed the 42,500-mark, as per the latest update by the Union health ministry. Over 1,350 people have died due to the virus across the country while the global toll from Covid-19 has crossed 3,50,000. The lockdown in India has been extended till May 17.
